NYC

So, now that I actually have something to talk about... I haven't been very good about keeping this blog updated. The big news, (for anyone who hasn't heard already), is that I was accepted to do my M.A in Media Studies at The New School in NYC!!! YAYAY

I was dancing on cloud 9 while up in Montreal for the holidays however all the news I've received since, is not so good. I thought I received a full scholarship but it turned out to be part loan. I thought the scholarships covered 66% of my tuition but turns out it's only 33%. I thought I could live in the dorm and study part-time, however this turns out not to be the case. So, I still have some big decisions to make but I'm super psyched all the same. The New School (and their dorms) are located in Greenwich Village:

I'm still working on the full-time/part-time student/work decision so please send me any advice and/or contacts you have in the NYC region.

What does this mean for my summer plans? Well,,, I've already purchased my Mutek ticket so you can be certain I'll be in Montreal from May 27 to 31. I've got Toby's wedding in Halifax on July 4th... and that's it. I'll most probably spend July/August (if not June included) in the NYC/Philly region.

As for my social life on the Island, Spring has really srung it into action! For anyone who wants details on my island love life (and it's bringing good comical relief to many), you can get in touch with me for an update. ;)
